The Trifecta: Porsche 911 Targa, 930 and 993 Turbo

Have you ever seen such beauty crammed into one place? I might have just gotten my fix for the day thanks to this Porsche trio that consists of a pristine Porsche 911 Targa, 930 and 993 turbo models.

This rather interesting gathering happened thanks to HRE, a company that produces quality wheels for most luxury car makers. The lineup included a modern day 2016 Porsche 911 Targa GTS accompanied by two classic Porsche’s – the 930 and the 993 turbo models.

Now for the wheels; the 993 has Brushed Gold HRE Classis 300 series wheels, the 991 Targa receives Brushed Clear HRE P106s while the 930 sits on Satin Bronze HRE C103s. All available for sale on their website!

If you think these classics are old slow cars, think again. The 1987 Porsche 930 Turbo has 330-HP and hits 0-100 Km/h in 4.8 seconds while the 993 Turbo puts out 408-hp and does 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds and then maxes out at 180-mph (290 km/h). That’s very respectable considering the fact that the current RWD 2016 991 GTS Targa gets to 62 mph from a stand still in 4.5 seconds.

My favorite would have to be the 1987 Flachbau Porsche 930, although the oldest but still the prettiest of the lot.
