The 2017 Super Bowl is almost here and with it edging closer, many brands and car manufacturers are releasing their commercials and teasers to get people hyped for the big game.

We selected some of the ads that stood out from the rest, most of which made an impact on the internet this season. So, let’s take a look at some of the most talked about 2017 Super Bowl commercials.

1- 2017 Kia Niro “Hero’s Journey”

Kia decided to advertise their 2017 Kia Niro hybrid crossover in a different way; they focused on bringing an exciting message that is usually depicted in a boring way by adding a twist to it.

Melissa McCarthy plays the hero who is out to save the planet and avoid all sorts of disasters in a heroic effort. Plus Bonnie Tyler’s “I Need a Hero” makes sense too, why try and save the planet while failing miserably, when you can drive a Kia Niro Hybrid that will do the job for you?

2- Audi’s Daughter commercial

Talk about controversial! Audi’s “Daughter” commercial gathered enough hate around the internet to start an eternal debate. Working with such a divisive issue can be tough, and Audi chose to tackle it in a “not so efficient” manner.

The message in the commercial supports equal pay for both genders, which is commendable by all means! But most seem to disagree with the way the commercial has been narrated to emphasize on something that isn’t there.

Either ways, Audi managed to get a lot of attention from this single ad.

3- Mercedes Benz “Born to Be Wild”

Perhaps the best 2017 Super Bowl commercial goes to the Mercedes-Benz “Born to Be Wild” AMG GTC ad which manages to make you envious in all sorts of ways.

This 60-second clip was directed by the Coen brothers who pay homage to the “Born to Be Wild” legends. Mercedes says that those who are born to be wild, should drive a car that is “Built to Be Wild”. We agree! That gorgeous AMG GTC is nothing short of eye candy.

4- 2017 Lexus LC Commercial “Man and Machine”

Lexus chose to advertise their all new LC Coupe by relating to the rebellious and full-of-life audience they are targeting! You simply don’t drive the LC 500 if you’re a boring bloke/lady.

While the Lexus LC 500 shines bright in red, dancer Charles Lil Buck Riley does some moves around it while Sia sings and British actress Minnie Driver narrates. This might tantalize your senses if you’re a rebel at heart!

5- 2017 Ford Go Further 

Ford takes on a traditional route be prompting to make the drivers life’s much easier. With electric technology, self driving cars and bike sharing – Ford hopes to be the company to help the youth on their journey to figuring out life.

The 90 second clip features Nina Simone’s song “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free” from the 70’s while Bryan Cranston does the voice over.

This ad is obviously targeting the younger generation, because that’s where all the money is.
