Tesla has just announced that they would release a battery upgrade for the Model X and the Model S to increase range and make the cars quicker than before. The ludicrous mode on the Tesla P100D increases the range of the electric sedan to an EPA-Estimated 315 miles.
That’s not all; the EV seddan can now achieve a 0-60 mph time in just 2.5 seconds which is faster than about anything on the road, unless you encounter a hypercar. People were recording 2.6 second accelerations in the previous P90D so we aren’t even doubting the new claim but think it might be underrated.
The Model X received an upgraded battery pack with a ludicrous ode as well but the heavier crossover gets an estimated 289 miles while capable of sprinting from 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds. That’s faster than the fastest SUV in the world, the 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 Bentley Bentayga.
If you own a Tesla P90D Ludicrous model, you can opt for an upgrade but it will cost you a hefty sum; $10,000 to add the 100-kw-hr battery and $20,000 to recyle the old battery pack.
