The new Nissan GT-R is upon us and the Japanese automaker confirmed it would be making an appearance at the 2016 New York Auto Show, but it did not mention if it would be the R36 new generation Nissan GT-R or a face-lifted version of the current R35 model released in 2009.
The teaser picture they sent basically says nothing has changed if you look closely, the tail lights are the same and the shape of the boyd remains intact which means we will probably get another final refresh before the new Nissan GT-R R36 Godzilla debuts.
If you are a fan of the Nissan GT-R; you already know it underwent several refreshes that saw it get more power (485 to 545 hp) and many suspension upgrades to increase handling charactersitcs and reduce unwanted understeer. Then you have the Nissan GT-R Nismo version which brings about an impressive 600 hp and 481 lb-ft of torque with added handling abilities and revised aerodynamics making it one of the fastest supercars on the Nürburgring.
For now, nothing else has been released regarding the new Nissan GT-R – but stay tuned and check our website regularly for updates when the New York press conference kicks off on March 23d.
