You might be waiting for the new Porsche Macan Turbo S variant to be released before you dip in to purchase the small German SUV. The new Performance Package released by Porsche is the next best thing with improvements added to the suspension, the engine, exhaust and transmission – you’ll be jumping red lights faster than a base 911 Carrera in no time.
To skip straight to the point: The new Porsche Macan Turbo equipped with the Performance Package raises total power from 394-bhp to 434-bhp and torque from 405 lb-ft to 442 lb-ft. The result is a Macan capable of sprinting from 0-62mph in 4.4 seconds (0.4 secs quicker than the standard Macan turbo and 0.2 seconds quicker than the 911 Carrera) Top speed is now raised to 169mph, that’s 4 mph more than the standard Macan Turbo.
Other upgrades include bigger brakes with 1.2 inches larger front brake rotors (15.4 inch discs), 0.6 inch lowered ride height via Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), optional Sport Chrono pack is not standard with the new Performance Package and a Spot Plus driving mode that beefs up the exhaust system.
If you are convinced already, the new Porsche Macan Turbo Performance Package costs $10,000 on top of the $76,000 Macan Turbo bringing the price all the way up to $86,445.
