The FCA “Fiat Chrysler Automobiles” group just unveiled their all new 2017 Jeep Compass at the Goiana plant in Brazil and it’s decent looking to say the least. Not much has been shared about the new crossover, but they did offer some info to tease us with before the official launch at the Los Angeles Autoshow.
FCA said the 2017 Jeep Compass would be offered with 17 power-trains across the globe while still holding solid off-roading capabilities which the brand is known for. Some extra safety features and advanced technology solutions will make their way to the next-generation Compass as well.
The previous Jeep Compass was styled after the Grand Cherokee but given a slightly smoother look, and the new model follows suit. Looking at the new 2017 Jeep Compass, you would notice that it’s much smoother than the boxier outgoing version while certain details remind us of the beautiful renegade and Cherokee models. Expect the expected with the new Compass; the 2.0-liter turbocharged Hurricane engine and the 9-speed automatic transmission are usual suspects in this case.
The 2017 Jeep Compass will be built in Goiana plant in Brazil, the Guangzhou plant in China and the Toluca plant in Mexico. More information will surface once the vehicle is launched at the 2016 Los Angeles auto-show this November. The next-gen compass will go on sale during the first quarter of 2017.
