For all those who have been waiting for years and years. The wait is over, Mazda finally released images of the upcoming 2016 Mazda MX5, but the real question is.. have they dropped the ball? Read on to find out.
What seems to be like the new Mazda MX5 isn’t so much of a change at first glance, although one thing is quite obvious, there aint no smiley face here in the front fascia anymore. No, the 2016 Mazda MX5 decided to look angry, and more serious. The car looks slightly taller than its predecessor with a lower hood that is much more curvy than the flat old MX5 hood. In addition the 2016 MX-5 Miata is 220.5 pounds lighter than its predecessor with a refined design that brings out the curves.
Our Verdict: With all these year, you would think that Mazda would come up with something revolutionary and new, but all we got was another average roadster. What kills it for me is the proportions of the car, as the lights look tiny in accordance to the wheel arches and the body. The rear end isn’t doing anything for me either, they might as well put an F-type badge there to help ease your concerns.
