The new 2015 Ford Mustang Shelby GT has been revealed and by the looks of it, we aint diggin it that much, simply because the the previous generation Shelby GT500 could holler back and was one bad son of a gun but it couldn’t handle its rear wheels on the track, even if it wanted to.
What’s under the bonnet mister? How about the same Cayote 5.0 Liter V8 engine in the standard Mustang GT with a huge blower (Supercharger) and some extra chunky ponies on the side. That’s right, how about 627 hp on the go, and the option to opt for a 700 hp performance package that gets your blood rushing in all the right places. The car is covered in carbon fiber bits, alongside 20 inch WELD wheels, Ford Racing suspension, Wilwood six-piston brakes, a short throw shifter with 3:73 rear gears and sway bar upgrades make it to the 2015 Ford Mustang Shelby GT.
The important bit; the 2015 Ford Mustang Shelby GT will go on sale in about 3-4 months and will cost you about $70,000 and some change, that’s $40,000 more than the stock 2015 Mustang GT which is almost $20,000 more than the GT350R for about an extra 100hp – you do the math.
Personally, I whish I could put the underpinnings and everything Ford has done to the 2015 Ford Mustang Shelby GT and stick it to the body of the older GT500. Expect the 2015 Ford Mustang Shelby GT to go on sale in the UAE – Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the rest of GCC countries this summer with a price tag of about AED 270,000 – 320,000 considering how over priced Mustang’s are over here.
