The Saleen S7 LM packs 1,000-hp and a top speed of 248-mph to get your blood rushing once again, all for a small sum of $1 million and that’s not all. This might be Saleen’s last saving grace as it’s on the leg of bankruptsy so it better be good.
The surprising factor is that Saleen Automotive actually had no rights to the S7 until recently where they faced conflicts and eventually signed rights of the S7 to the jurisdiction of the holding company. This helped the company use many parts from the S7 and use it to produce a limited edition run of the S7 for collectors in hopes of bringing the company back to life.
The Saleen S7 LM; named to honour the 20th anniversary of its last win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with specs to match the winning top-spec S7 Twin-turbo from 2005. The same 7.0-liter twin-turbo v-8 remains and pumps a super healthy 1,000-hp and tops out at 248-mph. Saleen hasn’t released much info to our surprise, since they are trying to be vague to raise interest.
You could expect a 0-60 mph time of around 2.8 seconds and a 0-100 mph time of 5.9 seconds. But then again, this is all talk and we might never see a Saleen on the road ever again.
