Mercedes new Metris Van displays four new concepts at SEMA

The Mercedes-Benz’s Sprinter van is likely to receive a smaller sibling nick named the Metris which is also known as the Vito in some other markets. The new Metris concept was previewed in in the 2014 SEMA show and is expected to start sales in the fall of 2015, although we are pretty sure we wont be seeing the Metris anywhere around the GCC area. The new Mercedes Benz Metrs is basically a commercial version of the new V-class Mercedes.

There were four concepts shown at the SEMA motor show this week, and all of them give hints to was the possible applications for the midsize Metris. The first concept seen was the Party/Dh Van from RENN-tech hinting at the obvious clamshell style roof that opens up to turn into a backdrop for a Dj-Meh..

The second concept was the Mobile Golf Pro by Garmin, which looks like a traveling golf mobile that can turn into a golf office on the go, Garmin added a high tech golf simulator and a brand new infotainment system.

The third concept was the Fire Chief concept truck designed by a firm called Rado, which described the red hot van as a rolling communications center that could be used to transport a fire chief much quicker than a fullsize truck.

The last and final concept was the luxurious Van variant of the Metris designed by HQ custom design. The high-end luxurious Metris van was described as a shuttle that will offer the best audio ad visual equipment available with Mercedes Benz craftsmanship.
