Mercedes-Benz Pick-Up Truck In the Works?

Mercedes-Benz chief Dieter Zetsche said earlier in a statement he made “The Mercedes-Benz pickup will contribute nicely to our global growth targets, we will enter this segment with our distinctive brand identity and all of the vehicle attributes that are typical of the brand with regard to safety, comfort, powertrains, and value.” The German automaker didn’t leave us in the dark either, they made sure a small teaser sketch would keep us all excited.

It is expected that Mercedes-Benz would announce their pick-up truck version within a year or two since they have already been working on this project several years ago. We also got a hint that the new pick-up might share some platform similarities with partner Renault-Nissan underpinnings which would effectively help it compete with the Toyota Hilux and the Volkswagen Amarok.
