With cars like the Porsche Panamera Turbo pushing over 550-hp and accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, Mercedes might feel left out. Hence, the Mercedes-AMG GT Performance Sedan Concept is here to fill a gap in the luxury performance sedan segment.

Mercedes decided it was enough to tease us with a sketch and nothing else. That’s where we start investigating on the Mercedes-AMG GT Performance Sedan Concept, possibly to be named the AMG GT4.

Sources suggest the sedan is just an elongated version of the GT flagship coupe with enough performance to rival the Panamera Turbo S.

Package the GT sedan concept with AMG’s 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine producing 604-hp and 627 lb-ft of torque and you could see some very impressive acceleration figures that are well within the low 3 second range.

As the 2017 Geneva Motor Show  edges closer, more and more cars are starting to make their way onto our digital screens before the big show. As for the Mercedes-AMG GT Performance Sedan Concept, you’ll just have to wait for the official unveiling for more details.
