McLaren have been on a roll ever since they launched their first supercar – the MP4-12C back in 2011 which, gained massive approval from fans around the world.
Then they had to improve the lineup by adding the 650S – the successor and a step up from the MP4-12C. Then of course, everyone was begging for a hardcore track road legal version of the 650S, McLaren obliged by making the 675LT – a Long Tail throwback to the old F1 GTR Long Tail.
But it wasn’t the end of the line here. No, McLaren wants to add more versions to balance the lineup and even out the playing field. With the new McLaren 700LT imagined by automotive designer Sidorik Igor, expect it to produce around 700PS (690-HP) from the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 found the in the P1, but without all of the electric motor assists.
The current 650S is due for a successor soon and from the looks of it, McLaren is preparing the 720S for the Geneva Motor Show next March to take that spot.
Taking a closer look at the McLaren 700LT rendering; you would notice extreme similarities with the current P1, featuring even more hardcore aerodynamics and downforce optimized body work.
