The Japanese manufacturer known to drop a concept every now and then has teased one of their high-riding models earlier which is due to unveil at the next Frankfurt Auto Show next month where the Mazda Koeru crossover concept will be shown to the public.

The Mazda Koeru is Japanese for “go beyond” or “exceed” which always seems to be the case with their newer models. Mazda is hinting that although the Koeru will have excelent value, performance and efficiency – it wont be your standard crossover.

We know a next-generation CX-9 is coming soon, with many predicting the vehicle will debut at November’s Los Angeles Auto Show. However, comments accompanying the release of the teaser suggest an entirely new model.

The Mazda Koeru does have pottential and is backed by Mazda’s new design language that relies on sharp lines, a sleek low profile and perfect stance. You can see hints of the bigger CX-9 and it’s clear that the Koeru is a Mazda that hails from Japan, but will this concept translate to reality?
