McLaren wasn’t too shy about teasing us endlessly with their new 675LT, and why not.. We love it, the new super awesome McLaren 675LT is the more extreme version of the 650S and was revealed earlier at the Geneva Motor show.
500 examples will be built of the exclusive McLaren 675LT which will be sold world wide, with delivery starting in July 2015. The 675LT will be avaible as a coupe only, because McLaren wants to focus on weight saving, increased power, proper aerodynamics and a track focused engaged driving experience.
The engine is the same 3.8 Liter V8 previously found on the other McLaren street vehicles, only this time it gets 50% new components, so that it can produce a healthy dose of satin’s 666 horsepower figure (675PS) and 516 pound feet of torque. You also get a limited amount of 443 pound-feet of torque in the first gear to ensure excellent acceleration and no loss of traction, while full torque is available in the rest of the remaining six forward gears.
As we explained earlier the LT stands for “Long Tail” and is inspired by the earlier Long Tail McLaren’s that were a force to be reckoned with. We get a lighter, more powerful, longer and revised McLaren – It is safe to say we are happy with the new McLaren 675LT, are you?
