80 units have been produced, and all of those 80 Koenigsegg Regera Swedish hypercars have been sold. It might take a while to hit you in the gut – if you were planning on buying one of the world’s fastest hypercars that utilizes a special hybrid system.
You might feel that way because the Koenigsegg Regera is so unique in the world of hypercars and performance shattering machines. The numbers speak for themselves, even the Bugatti Chiron shivers at the sight of the Regera. With 1,500 hp and 1,475 lb-ft of torque, the twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 engine enables the Regera to hit 240 mph in 20 seconds thanks to the single-speed reduction gear and hydraulic coupling system. It’s fast, very fast.
Although it may lack the looks of the Koenigsegg One:1 it still is a pretty looking hypercar, some would argue it looks better than a Porsche 918. Don’t get it confused though, Koenigesegg wants to market the Regera as their grand tourer while the Agera is for track performance.
The funny thing is; some customers will have to wait up to four years according to a time estimate by Koenigsegg, which is exactly how much time and effort the company puts into their machines.
