Kia has been teasing the Kia GT Sedan for while now, but mostly with vague dim lit quick shots. We finally get something worthwhile and from the looks of it, this might actually be one of Kia’s best cars till date. Check this out: F1 New Owners Planning To Make Each Race As Big As The Super Bowl

The Kia GT Sedan is the brand’s first attempt at making an actual bonafide sports car that will most likely feature the Twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 engine taken from Hyundai Genesis G80 producing over 365-hp. Kia says the GT sedan will go from 0-62mph in 5.1 seconds and it will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Other features like blind-spot monitoring might be ancient but they will make their debut on this budget sports car from Korea.

Although Kia hasn’t confirmed the powerplant yet, we were also guessing it might be a V8 that could rival cars like the M3 and the Rs3 sedan. Let’s not forget that power isn’t the main element here; the Kia GT Sedan needs to perform well on the track with good handling characteristics and a proven chassis that is balanced and stiff enough to make it a true sports car.

Want more? wait for the official release – January 8, at 6 pm EST, during the 2017 Detroit Auto Show.

OH MAN I can’t wait! I haven’t been this excited about a car in a long time. Are there better cars, sure but if this car delivers the performance, comfort, convenience and looks that I think it will for the money, then this may very well be my next car. Looks good in the red. I’d LOVE it to have 400hp but I don’t think that’s happening. I really hope it has AWD with a limited slip rear end so it can not only move power front to rear but left to right in the rear. The Hyundai G70 should be interesting too.

The gt is shaping to be a good looking design. If it’s anything like the genesis Coupe concept was, then the production version should not be too far off from this concept.
