Yes, you read that right. It’s not a typo – the one-off Mercedes-Benz E-Class All Terrain 4×4² is an E-Class sedan that has been converted into one of the most notable off-roaders to come out of the German manufacturer. Problem is; there is only one.
A project created by an ambitious engineer working at Mercedes-Benz, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All Terrain 4×4² is an off-road luxury trotter that can tackle all terrain thanks to an array of improvements.
The wagon received a pair of portal axles which raised the ride height to 16-inches. Then a set of 31-inch tires are fitted on and the overall track widened by 8 inches.
You’d expect that with such a wild concept, Mercedes would fit the V8 Biturbo in there, but no. The car comes with the 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine which pumps out 328 hp – certainly more than enough to handle all sorts of tough terrain.
News of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All Terrain 4×4² spread across the internet like wildfire and Mercedes says they might be considering a limited production run.
