Boy, how can you resist a prepossessing supercar like the Satin Black LaFerrari. The Mecum Auctions sale during the Monterey car week saw this special LaFerrari go to one of the luckiest owners who bought it for $4.7 – worth every single penny!

This price ofcourse was one of the highest ever paid for the Italian super hypercar since its inception – What makes it so special you may ask? The paint you see on this particular LaFerrari is no ordinary paint. With a Nero DS Opaco shade that gives it that satin matte look to ensure it’s much more more special than the red ones around. To complement the Satin Black LaFerrari, it got red brake calipers and dark gloss black wheels.

It still isn’t the most expensive Ferrari bought in an auction with the Ferrari 335 Sport Scaglietti which was sold at the Artcurial Motorcars Retromobile auction in Paris for an insane price of $35.7m. It still fetches more than a Ferrari Enzo though.
