Hyundai just released a teaser video of their next-generation Hyundai i30 model which is also known as the Elantra GT in the United States. Peter Schreyer’s thick German accent is accompanied by dim lit shots of the i30.
Hyundai’s chief designer, Peter Schreyer revolutionized both the Kia and Hyundai names since he joined back in 2006 giving the Korean car maker a boost it never dreamed of before. He describes the Hyundai i30 “This model showcases an evolution of Hyundai Motor’s design language with natural flowing lines, refined surfaces and a sculpted body to create a timeless appearance”
The new Hyundai i30 teases the departure of the horizontal slats grille in favor of a new highly textured (cascading grille) and sleeker sharper headlights the follow suit with current Hyundai design philosophy.
If you are excited to learn more about the Hyundai i30 – It will make a debut on September 7 before appearing at the Paris Auto Show later. Don’t expect something out-of-the ordinary, it’s still going to be a value for money i30.
The current Hyundai Elantra GT is basically the same as the previous generation i30 so expect the new Elantra GT to share the same specs as the new i30. The engine will probably be a 2.0-liter inline four cylinder that produces 173-hp and 154-lb-ft of torque.
