You know that supercar names the Aventador? It got more power and a bit lighter. Yes, like anyone though they needed more 700 hp from the already fast and insanely popular Lamborghini Aventador. The resulting formula is the new Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce (SV), a name given to the most extreme Lamborghini’s on the market.
This Geneva Motor Show we got to see the Aventador Supervoloce and we loved it, very much. It ads 50 more horsepower to the standard Aventador and removed 50 kg’s from it as well. The resulting formula is 740 hp and 3362 curb weight, it also gets improved aerodynamic and more carbon fiber in the exterior and interior.
The beast is still powered by the naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V12 engine which has been optimized to produce 740 hp (750 PS) due to a lightweight exhaust system lowering back pressure and refining the exhaust note, optimized Variable Valve Timing and Variable Intake systems while torque remains the same at 509 pound feet of torque although the rpm red-line is up to 8500 rpm.
Permenant four wheel drive and seven speed automated manual gearbox remains the same for the Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce. The suspsension got some minore upgrades with magnetorheological dampers (whatever that is) which adapt to surface conditions and can be adjusted by the driver depending on the driving mode, Rolls Royce style. Speaking of style, the Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce gets so much carbon fiber it sets out to expose most of the composite monocoque including the center tunnel and side sills.
The new Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce (SV) gets 21 inch rims in the back and 20 inch forged wheels in the front all wrapped in the Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. Carbon ceramic brakes are standard of-course and Aerodynamics have been improved by 150 percent, with downforce levels increasing by 170 percent compared to the standard Aventador.
You may now adjust the huge carbon fiber rear wing on the Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce in three different settings. The new suspension aids in reducing brake diving and body roll, while the new electromechanical steering system adjusts the steering ratio based on the speed and driving mode currently engaged all working in conjunction to increase maneuverability at low speeds and increase stability at higher speeds. The Superveloce gets a front splitter for added downforce and a rear difusser that has vertical fins to help better airflow underneath the Italian beast and overall stability increase.
The result of all this chit chat is a 0-62 mph time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of more than 217 mph, you would be glad to know that this Aventador is special, with a new cluster that includes blue shif light, a g-force indicator and a yellow TFT screen. It also gets the special SV sport bucket seats and door panels, and the lack of floor mats, an infotainment system and noise insulation parts (the V12 takes care of that) tell you this is a Superveloce. You can still opt to get the infotainment system for free, and if you happen to have $366,000 or Aed 1,400,000 (probably going to be something like Aed 1,600,000) in your bank account, that’s how much you need to own one.
