Dubai, UAE: McLaren Automotive will use the Dubai International Motor Show 2015 to unveil one of the most exclusive 650S projects to date, which will be made available only to customers in the Middle East. Developed in collaboration with McLaren Special Operations (MSO), production will be limited to five cars. McLaren has engaged customers from the Middle East region to understand tastes and styles during the project, and worked closely with the designers at McLaren Special Operations, the division of the company responsible for bespoke craftsmanship. This has inspired the development and production of one of the most exclusive 650S models to date.
Alongside the bespoke model from the Super Series, the British luxury brand will showcase the recent entry to the sports car market, the 570S Coupe. This is the first in a range of models that will be launched within the recently established McLaren Sports Series and completes the three tiered line up of high performance sports cars and supercars for the road.
This McLaren 650S bespoke project undertaken by MSO will debut at the Dubai International Motor Show 2015 held from November 10-14 at Dubai World Trade Center. Ian Gorsuch, Regional Director at McLaren Automotive Middle East & Africa, said: ‘We have been developing this truly unique edition of the 650S Spider since early in 2015 and believe that the approach to our first project specifically for the Middle East market is truly innovative. Inspired by the region, this supercar is the result of the imagination of our customers from the region, and our designers being influenced by the region.
McLaren has a genuine affinity with the Middle East, since delivering our first car to a customer almost five years ago to the day. We have grown and developed from producing the a single model – the12C – to now being able to showcase our full range of high performance sports and supercars, including the newest in the range – the McLaren Sports Series, to the region’s automotive enthusiasts.’
