Dubai Metro reaches 12.4 Million passengers in August

Dubai eröffnet längste fahrerlose Metro der Welt

Director of RTA Rail Operation Mohammad AL Mudharreb was quoted saying “This year has seen a substantial increase in the Metro ridership, which indicates that the RTA plan projecting an increase in public transport ridership is moving in the right direction.”

Dubai Metro has seen a great year by passengers topping over 12.4 million on the red and green line in august which can be compared to 10.4 million in August, 2013 thanks to the smooth mobility offered by the RTA (Roads and Transport Authority).

Most of the passengers that were riding the Dubai Metro were using the Red Line which leads to Deira City Centre Station which was used by about 541,023 riders and Al Riqqa Station with approximately 516,740 riders.
