Cadillac just teased us with a high tech interior concept through their Youtube channel but there isn’t much to tell except for their new curved OLED screen enveloping the dashboard. But maybe that’s telling us a lot – let’s find out.
The concept is set to unveil at the Monterey Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with other insane concept like the new Mercedes-Maybach 6 Coupe later this week.
The video shows the High Tech Interior Concept that brings technology like curved OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) screen co-developed with LG Electronics, currently used in superior home electronics but hasn’t made its way to the automotive world. Although this might be a concept, Cadillac is infact developing this technology for their future production cars.
The sci-fi music in the video is icing on the cake, but the sleek design and swiping lines make us wonder if Cadillac might be ditching buttons altogether in favor of touchscreen buttons and a full on display that stretches from the center console all the way to the drivers instrument cluster wrapped in elegant wood trim.
Cadillac is set to reveal the new concept live on its Facebook page on Thursday, August 18 at 10:45 p.m. EST/7:45 p.m. PST. If you might be wondering what the concept is; Cadillac CEO Johan De Nysschen hinted that the flagship sedan dubbed the CT8 is a contender for the spot.
