That’s enough power, said no one ever! The BMW M4 G-Power is exactly what you need if the standard BMW M4 GTS isn’t enough, simply because you need more of that German Pferdestärke! And that’s what you will get, 600 PS of those to be exact.
Although BMW offers the GTS version, the G-Power package still outperforms it with 600-PS (592-hp) and 740-NM (546 lb-ft) of torque making it more powerful than the 2017 Nissan GTR, although it isn’t nearly as fast; due to the sophisticated AWD and suspension systems found in the GTR.
The BMW M4 G-Power is offered with a Bi-Tronik 2 V3 electronic control unit remap that caters specifically to each car it is installed on; this offers optimal performance on each machine. Oh, and you do get a bespoke titanium exhaust for the good melody chants while you hit the speed limits of your dreary neighborhood street.
The kit allows you to snap a 0-62 mph time in 3.7 seconds and raises the speed limit to 320 km/h (199 mph), which is a tenth of a second faster than the GTS. Many people get caught up in numbers, but forget that it’s all about the availability of that power in the rpm range and the way the car translates all that power to the pavement. Hence why you find 4-cylinder engine cars with less hp taking on bigger V8s, until they catch up.
Although i might not be a fan of the Bavarian car maker, i always give credit when it’s due. And the BMW M4 G-Power is eye candy for any car enthusiast out there.
Opt for the less extreme G-Power packages and you can get up to 520-ps (513-hp) and 700 NM (516-Lb-Ft) of torque on the first package. The second package offers a bit more with 560 PS (552 HP) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque.
To make it special, G-Power offers GM4-RS coilover suspension to handle the extra horses and add grip with proper lowered stance. You also get beautiful Hurricane RR Forged wheels that measure up 9×21 inch upfront and 10.5×21 inch at the back. All wrapped in Michelin pilot super sport 255/30 (front) and 295/25 (Rear) tires.
Want to upgrade your M4? Head on to the G-Power website and avail the Christmas discount that is now set at €1,785 ($1,895) for the Bi-Tronik 2 engine upgrade, which is also available for the M4 Convertible and M3. That’s $335 cheaper than usual.
