What a time to be alive, Porsche went ahead and released the Porsche Mission E concept not too long ago – A car that embodies the perfect electric sedan platform to take on the great Tesla Model S. Bentley want to join the race too, so they have decided to produce their own electric hybrid plug-in future vehicles starting with the Bentyaga.

The first model is going to share the architecture of the new Porsche EV sedan also known as the Mission E which will feature a $750 million investment that includes building a new factory with over 1,000 new employees called the “Factory 4.0” in Weissach.

From recent speculation, the Bentley EXP10 is expected to be the first car for this project due to the similarity in the construction, although nothing is clear yet. Bentley executive Frech was quoted saying that “We are currently in the stage where we are evaluating all the possibilities, but there are so many question marks behind this. I think there will be an answer within the next six months to a year to decide which direction we will go, but of course electric will be a future strategy direction for Bentley.”

This seems to be the norm for car manufacturers to at least tease an electric car for the inevitable future that will see most of us driving some sort of electric car, and while the idea of losing the petrol engine seems terrifying , we hope the new electric generation of cars can be as exciting as their predecessors.
