Official power specs for the ABT Audi R8 Plus see the 5.2-liter V10 figures raised to 630-hp from 610-hp and torque from 530NM to 550NM. Not much, but certainly something to talk about.
Besides power upgrades, ABT managed to reduce the R8’s center of gravity through new coilover springs and sports stabilizers at the rear and the front axles, they also reduced the car’s weight by around 50 kg. This translates to better handling and a much more dynamic ride.
The looks might be a bit too much, but it sure won’t be an issue of missing identity as this body kit is distinctively ABT. The front seems to have way too many ducts crammed within the bumper – although ABT doesn’t mention if they’re all functional or not. Downforce seems to be taking the centerstage here with all those massive aero flaps.
The rims have been upgraded as well, and you can either go for a 19-inch option or a 20-inch option.
You will also be able to change exterior design elements and interior materials. ABT offers Alcantara and carbon fiber on the Audi R8 V10 Plus, the pictures show an alcantara flooded interior with several ABT badges and beautiful red trim pieces.
Besides the somewhat controversial front end, the ABT Audi R8 V10 Plus seems to be better in every aspect and if you don’t mind shelling the extra cash, it might be a reasonable upgrade for anyone looking for something special.
