2018 Audi Q8 is the Perfect Dubai Luxury SUV

The new 2018 Audi Q8 will be the companies “flagship SUV” and from the looks of it, this might be the perfect luxury SUV for Dubai because it delivers a package so hard to resist. The new Q8 will sit next to A8 flagship sedan at the top of range as Audi describes there vision for SUV; “I could imagine an executive being driven to work every day in their A8 and then spending the weekend driving themselves in their Q8, the Q8 will have global appeal in all of the major markets – Europe, China, America, Russia and more – and so we are very excited about it.”

The 2018 Audi Q8 is the perfect competitor for the Mercedes GLE and the BMW X6 and set to be the seventh SUV within the Audi lineup with the addition of the Q2, Q4 and Q1 models to complete the SUV range.

It came at no surprise that Audi decided to focus on adding a luxury flagship SUV after they saw that most of their sales came via Q models so it made sense to target such a big market soaring with buyers all over the world. Set to launch within the second half of 2018 – the 2018 Audi Q8 will share the mechanical underpinnings of the Q7 and will offer petrol, diesel and hybrid powertrains for buyers depending on the country of purchase.

We also know that we might see a new hybrid petrol-electric system in the 2018 Audi Q8 since Porsche which will be sharing its engines with Bentley and Audi (part of Volkswagen group) has been working on a secret powertrain that will give the all electric Q8 up to 31 miles of range.

The Audi Q8 will be sporty in design and performance just like you would expect from AMG and M products. The 2018 Audi Q8 is expected to have similar dimensions to the Q7 and will sit on the latest evolution of Audi’s MLB plaform with a 2,990-mm wheelbase.

Carbon fiber will be used in the non-load-bearing structures like the new R8 and we expect the SQ8 to features the newly developed Porsche 4.0-liter Twin Turbo unit with 542-hp or a triple-turbo charged 4.0-liter V8 diesel recently unveiled in the SQ7, we’ll have to wait and see.
