It’s true, winners of this year’s MotoGP will be offered a spanking brand new 2017 BMW M4 CS at the end of the season.
This came as no surprise since BMW is a long term partner with the competition series promoter Dorna Sports which showcased the prize at the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez De La Frontera – the blue BMW M4 CS.
Powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo Inline-six engine pushing a healthy 454-hp and 600NM (443lb-ft) through a dual-clutch 7-speed automatic transmission. Winners will be delighted to drive off in this blue mint.
No, the color isn’t called blue mint – it’s the San Marino Blue Metallic which debuted in Shanghai a month ago and it’s gorgeous. Launch the M4 CS from 0 to 62 mph and you’ll get there in 3.9 seconds while top speed can be a measly 278 km/h.
The competition awarded a blue M2 last November, a matte blue M6 Convertible in 2016, a matte red M4 in 2014 and a matte black M6 Coupe in 2013 so this M4 CS is just on par.
