Wondering which beast was left untamed devouring the corners of the Nürburgring at night? This teaser was released earlier by Mercedes to cut the speculations.
The Mercedes AMG GTR was teased ahead of Goodwood Festival of Speed on June 24 2016, after several alluring images and a video of the beast surfaced online.
The 2017 Mercedes AMG GTS is already a stunning supercar that is so balanced thanks to the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that produces 503-hp. But the 2017 Mercedes AMG GTR will still be placed below the unreleased Black Series edition and above the current GTS model.
It’s aimed directly at the Porsche 911 GT3RS and the McLaren 675LT which means it should get around 600-hp and some heavily revised transmission and suspension tuning. As tradition dectates, it should also be lighter and equipped with an aero-beefed body kit that benefits from a fixed spoiler. Bigger brakes, hardcore race tires, beefed up suspension and an aerokit is what we are expecting.
To find out more, you would have to wait for the official releases during the 2016 Goodwood festival of speed on June 24. With such a successful start, the 2017 Mercedes AMG GTR is expected to make waves upon debut but the real stunner would be the upcoming black series.
