2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe Revealed ahead of Frankfurt Debut

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have good news.. Really good news.

If you thought the 2016 Mercedes S Class Coupe was amazing but couldn’t make a case for purchasing one, Mercedes-Benz just made things a lot easier with the new 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe that basically looks the same. I’m shocked that Mercedes-Benz decided to make the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe so similar in looks to the much more expensive S63 which you can see below in the comparison we made.

The 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe would be released next summer in the Frankfurt motor-show in which it will be officially released with the glory of the that 4.0-liter V-8 which makes 496 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque from the standard model and 503 hp – 516 lb-ft in the S model.

Mercedes-AMG says that the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe can do a 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds for the base and 3.8 seconds for the S model which are both quicker than the Sedan version because the Coupe model uses wider tires and shorter gear ratios while top speed is limited to 155 and 180 mph respectively. You will be getting the SpeedShift MCT 7-Speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters.

The AMG Ride Control adjustable suspension will be standard, as will a limited slip differential and dynamic engine mounts. To make the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe faster, Mercedes-AMG made the front 2.51 inches wider and the rear 2.59 inches while the suspension gets a unique four-link suspension with radial, racing-style brake connections and steering knuckles specific to each model upfront. The rear multi-link suspension provides highly precise wheel control and increased stiffenes although rims are limited to 18 inches with 255 wide rubber up front and 285 wide rubber at the rear.

As expected, the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe gets all the luxuries that are expected from a Bavarian Benz. Microfiber upholstery on the front sport seats, the Burmester sound system, a 7-inch color center display, blind spot monitoring, pre-crash preparing system, Mercedes Collision Prevention Assist Plus, a remote start, memory seats and everything else in between. You can also opt for more serious performance seats that add extra bolstering and a lower seating position.

Prices are in-line with the rest of Mercedes-AMG products with the standard 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe starting asl low as $70,000 and the S model at $80,000 which is fantastic for such a car. Expect more info during September 15th when the official unveiling at the Frankfurt Auto Show.
