The Hyundai Sonata is the equivalent of Kia’s Optima luxury midsize sedan offered at an affordable rate with premium features as one would expect from the Korean manufacturer. The first Hyundai Sonata was released in 1985, and it wasn’t all that impressive. But during the last couple of years, Hyundai and Kia made strides in improving looks, materials and mechanical features.
The car was heavily covered but looking clearly at the edges, you can tell it’s the new 2017 Hyundai Sonata as the tail lights, the body shape and the rims all indicate the same car which Hyundai hinted with official release photos a couple of months ago. I guess they are heat testing it before the official debut in Frankfurk IAA 2015.
