The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe has just earned its self a very prestigious Top Safety Pick award from the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) – This was achieved by adding structural reinforcements tot he 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe which enabled the Korean Crossover to gain a “Good” rating on all of the evaluation tests which is the highest mark possible from the IIHS test.

The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe is optimal at providing passenger and driver safety by preventing cabin intrusion during a crash; adding to that the improved front and side airbags to add extra protection to the drivers head. In addition to adding more safety, the crossover got a “Good” rating in all other tests including head restraints, roof strength, side, moderate overlap front and seats.

To increase safety, the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport gets an optional front crash prevention system which is only available on the top spec model (2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0T Ultimate) which is part of a $1,550 Tech Package that enables automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. You also benefit from additional extras like lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, electronic parking brake and dynamic headlights that move depending on the corners.
