If you’re in the market for a supercar killer that carries a price tag of a normal German sportscar, then the 2017 Camaro ZL1 should tickle your senses according to Chevrolet which just announced the price of their new monster.
So this means the new 2017 Camaro ZL1 will be Chevrolet’s fastest most powerful camaro ever with a 650-hp supercharged 6.2-Liter V-8 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic sitting on he Alpha platform – The Zl1 will achieve a 0-60 Mph time in just 3.5 seconds which is on par with the Hellcat Challenger while the quarter mile is done with in 11.4 seconds at 127 mph. It’s also cheaper than a hellcat and will undoubtedly handle better on a track.
The 2017 Camaro ZL1 also smashes the competition with a max lateral acceleration figure of 1.02 g, something that other competing muscle cars in the category dream – The package starts at $62,135 for a 650-hp track car that can do more than what you’d expect. The last ZL1 had a very respectable time of 7:41.27 at the Nürburgring Nordschleife which was on par with a 911 Turbo S at the time.
