The 2016 Nissan GTR gold edition celebrates a legend that survived for 45 years, being only known as the Godzilla, the mother of all rule breaking, ground shaking and definitely speed breaking numbers.
It sets fear in the hearts of Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s in stock disguise, puts a show against hypercars when tuned properly and destroys anything in its path when equipped with the right tools – hence Alpha 12. The 45th Anniversary Gold Edition is a simple gold “Silica Brass” colored premium Nissan GTR with new 20-spoke forged aluminum wheels from Rays and the same monstrous 3.8 Liter twin turbo V6 that produces 545 hp.
It would only set you back an extra $1,000 to get the 2016 Nissan GTR gold edition, making the price a low $101,770, with the added destination charge of $1,595 on all vehicles and for such a car this isn’t much. As Nissan says it plans on selling 30 units in the United States, and although the Nismo version packs 600 hp and 481 lb-ft of torque and is one of the fastest cars on the Nürburgring it is hard to see how someone with enough money would buy the standard version.
The 2016 Nissan GTR Black Edition gets 550 hp and sells for about $111,510 and the Nismo version goes for $149,990.
