2016 Ford Focus RS oficial

Dudes and duddetes, it’s official! 350 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque making the new 2016 Ford Focus RS one of the most powerful stock hot hatches in the market right after the new 2016 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG (381hp) and the 2016 Audi RS3 (362hp) which are priced at double what Ford asks for.

The 2016 Ford Focus RS isn’t offered for sale yet, but the numbers have been increases and it is official (again..) – the U.S. Spec 2016 Ford Focus RS is going to pump out 350 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque from that tastylicious 2.3L Eco Boost I-4 paired to a twin-scroll turbocharger tuned to 23.2 psi of boost which equals to about 152 hp per liter. Shift redline is matched at 6,800 rpm although a number hasn’t been confirmed yet for the redline.

The most interesting feature would be the new stall recovery system available for the Six-speed manual transmission 2016 Ford Focus RS which basically lets the driver push the clutch pedal after he stalls to start the car again without having to go through the whole process of turning the ignition on and off. It’s tough to make a case for other hot hatches on offer right now with the Audi RS3 being the most powerful with 362 hp on offer and the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG with 354 hp  which has recently received a new 381 hp power-up. It’s crazy what these hatches have nowadays considering how 300hp was crazy for a hatchback a couple of years ago.

Prices will start at $36,605 for the 2016 Ford Focus RS when it begins production by the end of 2015.
