Toyota has finally diverted away from their awkward design phase which we saw between 2008-2013 with their flagship models. They started off by fixing one of their best selling cars, the Toyota Camry which is set to realease in early 2015 in the UAE-GCC. They also made some adjustments to the Toyota Yaris which kind of looks like a Ford Focus hatchback from the rear end. The Toyota Corolla got similar treatment to the Yaris, but none looked as good as the 2015 Toyota Camry which was much leaner and balanced overall.
I really like the new rear end which is reminiscent of their Lexus LS models, and the front end that was smartly sourced from their successful Avalon. With XLE models, Toyota is more likely to offer these Additional features which include leather seating with heated front seats and a four-way front power front passenger seat,17-inch chrome finish alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights and Toyota’s Entune Audio Plus multimedia system. The much sportier XSE will get 18inch rims, premium ultra-suede inserts and a machined face black paint.
The big news is, the 3.5L V6 with 268hp which obtains Smart Key Entry, standard LED high and low beam headlights, power moonroof, Entune Premium Audio with Navigation and App Suite equipped with a 7.0-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, and more.
Toyota will be releasing Hybrid variants as well, but we don’t think that those would be making their way to the UAE-GCC, and won’t be selling as much.
