In all seriousness, I never thought I would say this but I think I like this Camry. Don’t get me wrong, in all these years I always thought that the Toyota Camry was a very-very solid entry in the midsize market, if not the best. But there was always something that put me off about it, and while that isn’t hard to pinpoint it was obviously the looks of the previous generation models that did not sit well with my mind set.

But recently you may have noticed that Honda stepped up their game with the 2014 Honda Accord which by the way looked miles better than the outgoing Toyota Camry. And Toyota being the attention freak that it is, decided to release what could be the first good looking camry since the Toyota Cressida it replaced and the beautiful Mark II gen cars.

The puzzling move to keep the V6 engine as the sportier trim of the 2015 Toyota Camry which will be called the RZ probably. But we arent here to discuss sportiness, we want to talk about the complete package that gives you a bit of everything and allot of reliability.
for 2015, the Toyota Camry will be equipped with two engine options; the first would be the infamous 3.5 Liter V6 potter that has been proven over and over again for its world class reliability, good power and great fuel economy. The second option being the all time crowd pleaser; 2.5 Liter V4 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission cranking out 178 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque.

The V6 engine which remains unchanged for the 2015 Toyota Camry delivers great performance for spirited driving situations although one might not expect speed to be an option on the list, it is. Let me tell you why.. The 2015 Toyota Camry V6 can hit 0-100 km/h in just about 5.9-6 Seconds which is really good considering the economical value of such car.

The big news here isn’t how fast the new 2015 Toyota Camry V6 is, it’s what Toyota did to improve the ride and comfort of the new model. The Chassis was stiffened and stuffed with more sound insulation materials to help the rigidity of the car and improve the cabin sound insulation for quite comfy rides. Toyota also have the 2015 Camry better suspension to reduce soft handling and give the car a bit more control, it also reduces body roll and body hop. However, these handling goodies will be available for the sportier trims (The SE and XSE). While the standard trims would be the LE and the XLE which are not equipped with the sportier suspension and are suitable for a family oriented driver.

Now that we have performance out of the way, let us discuss how the new 2015 Toyota Camry feels and looks on the inside. I remember this quote by Khalil Gibran “Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.” which I always think about when trying to meet new people, but the quote has much more to it. The interior of a car is a deal breaker if it does not meet up to standards, because what the hell (YOU will be driving on the inside right?)

I can be pleased to inform you that Toyota was not bold on the exterior design, but rather on the interior quality as well. The new interior is far more superior and classy than the outgoing model, and it really looks like a proper ergonomic design for the first time. Soft touch materials, Wireless phone charging, piano glass black/aliminuim trim, Etune Audio, Navigation coupled with a quick infotainment system are among the many highlights of the new interior.

While I think the 2015 Toyota Camry is for the first time a pleasing package on both inside, and outside I really do recommend you opt for high end options to get the full spectrum of what is being offered in one of the greatest economy cars of all time. Only time will tell of how well the 2015 Toyota Camry fairs against the 2015 Mazda 6 and the 2015 Honda Accord.

What is up with that H grille gloss black thing that seems like it was an afterthought by the designers?? Completely dislike that thing. We don’t know if the V6 engine will be making it to the UAE, but we have high hopes that it might, as for the pricing; we expect similar prices to the outgoing model with a bit of hike. Prices are expected to start from 87,000 for a base V4 and reach all the way 120,000 Aed for the V6 Limited model or RZ if it does indeed make it.
