This might look like a Dodge Dart just finished a cycle of Deca and Tren, and resulted in the creation of this mad 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. The only thing is, why? We were all fine with how much power the standard SRT made, which was enough to paralyze a stranded dog. Dodge is trying to make a statement here, with it’s eyes on the worlds fastest sedan title.
But hold on, is this really the Dodge Charger we all know and love? And no, I am not talking about the shitty remake in 2007, I am talking about the granddaddy General Lee & Torretos muscle in the Fast & the Furious 1.
The answer is, this is something we might see from Europe and specifically Germany. But Dodge has been molding their designs since 2011 to fit a wider audience and a much more mature younger market. without badges, I would have thought that this was a new BMW M3..Well not really, but you get the draft.
The only thing that matters here is that it looks fabulous! and boasts key figures like a topspeed of 204 Mph, 707hp and a quarter mile of 11.00 seconds snatching the worlds fastest sedan title from Porsches Panamera. I would have hoped for an advanced treatment of the body rather than slapping a 6.2L supercharged V8 and calling it a day as usual.
The Verdict: We like, and certainly appreciate the added power. But we still don’t see what makes it so special. It still looks like Dodge did what every other car company does, adding a few badges here and there and inserting a bodykit and a bigger supercharger/engine.
