2015.5 Volvo V60 Cross Country pricing has been announced at this years 2014 Los Angeles Auto show with the release of pictures and specs as well. Prices are expected start at just $41,925, which is accordingly priced with the competition and is about a $1,000 less than the 2015 Audi Allroad, and a bit less than the Volvo V60 All-wheel-drive wagon which is $45,000.
2015.5 Volvo V60 Cross Country is volvo’s entry into the crossover category which makes it a subtle addition to the lineup to compete with the Subaru Outback and the Audi Allroad. While some customers may want to opt for the Volvo V60 wagon, they might be interested in an additional 2.6 inches of ground clearance.
Volvo joins the techcrunch with the addition of underbody protection, an advanced 4 wheel drive AWD system that has torque vectoring tech and corner traction control to assist with difficult situations coupled with a hill descent system as standard.
The engine provided on the 2015.5 Volvo V60 Cross Country is the older 2.5 Liter turbocharged engine with 250 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque, with power delivered through a six speed automatic transmission. This layout is good for 23 mpg which is quite impressive indeed.
The 2015.5 Volvo V60 Cross Country is quite the impressive crossover, although it did remind me of Mercedes’s new design direction, which isn’t a bad thing by any means. It successfully passes our eye candy test, but further would be revealed soon.
