2015 is just one day away, and we are set and ready to take on the new year with the intention of making the world a better place, but before we do that let’s remember some of 2014’s greatest moments!

The year 2014 has been incredibly full of new events, amazing car concepts and intuitive designs that shook the very core of the Automotive world. In this article, I will talk about some of 2014’s most memorable cars that made gear heads around the world cringe in happiness and sadness. Grab a cup of coffee and reflect back with us on some of 2014’s greatest cars and the one of the most disappointing cars.

1. The Toyota FT-1 Concept and possibly the BMW Z4 Roadster inspiration.

I can only begin to praise the almighty Toyota FT-1 that crosses the line between a Formula 1 and a standard car, which makes for a fascinating machine all together. The FT-1 blends modern organic design, and slight sharp lines in such a way that makes every kid in us go crazy over how it looks. The effort and design mentality put behind this machine is nothing short of spectacular, I remember watching Jay Leno interviewing the guys from Toyota responsible for the Exterior and Interior, and how passionate they were about the FT-1. And to kick you while your down, Toyota says it should be affordable, $60,000 they said.. Let us wait and see, because this “Supra” looks pretty super car to me.

2. The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

We have written many articles about the new Corvette Z06, and that proves that we like this new Chevy since they have been active at trying to make things better. It might not be the most unique looking Chevrolet ever, but it sure brings on a European flare American cars needed. It can be tough trying to be different in the world of American Muscle cars, but Chevy and Ford have been going at it with their flagship sports coupes.

3. The 2014 Jaguar F-Type

The Jaguar F-Type has one of the greatest rear ends to set foot in the Automotive world, and that is because it pays tribute to the amazing E-Type, if you don’t know about the E-Type we suggest you do some research. If you are going for an F-Type, please opt for the V8; Supercharged or not, it sounds like nothing you have heard before, forget muscle car burbles.. This is a pure British Muscle car that brings sexy back, although we all know that’s a Ford engine underneath ;). The proportions of the Jaguar F-Type are so precise it makes other cars look like cookie cutters, the only downside would be the price tag.

4. The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat | Dodge Charger SRT Hell Cat

Back in 2013, Dodge teased us about something called the Hellcat, and mentioned something about some crazy horsepower numbers. It turned out they wanted to make two Dodge Hellcats, and what suits that badge more than the Charger and the Challenger models? Both beasts put out 707hp and 707 lb-ft of torque, it is pretty rare these days that a manufacturer’s Sedan makes more horsepower than their super car “The Viper”.

5. The disappointment that is the new Mazda MX5

Revealed at the 2014 Paris Motor show, the Mazda MX5 was the most disappointing concept of 2014 since it took so long to replace the previous generation model, and all they could come up with is this “not so pretty” looking MX5. They say that eyes tell allot about a person, and the same goes for cars but this Mazda isn’t fooling anyone with its baby eyes.

6. The Cadillac CTS-V, 640hp Deary me!

As for the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V, we weren’t disappointed at all to say the least. Cadillac’s (V) division are catered for the smiles department down in isle “get your shit together” and produce a really loud, really fast, and pretty good looking car. And the engineers haven’t failed to deliver, let me be blunt.. The 2016 BMW M5 puts out 575hp and the 2016 Mercedes E63 AMG puts out 577 both of which are direct competitors to the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V which has 640hp and 630 lb-ft of torque pumped out of its 6.2 Liter LT4 V8 unit which also makes it stronger than the Ferrari 458 Speciale and the new Lamborghini Huracán, hell it even packs more horses than Pigani Zonda’s S and F models with a 7.0L and a 7.3L AMG engine that puts out 540hp and 594 respectively, both of which accelerate around the sub 3 second range.
