Lotus is a car manufacturer many overlook when considering a new sports car, mainly due to the focused strategy Lotus has adapted with their cars. The interiors aren’t all that fancy and the car looks unconventional but for those who appreciate the best handling machines out there, then you know what Lotus brings to the table in terms of an overall package. A recent video released by Lotus shows the lovely/glorious Lotus Exige Sport 350 being paced through some winding British back roads and on a damp circuit where the Lotus Exige Sport 350 emits some rather pleasing exhaust melodies and slides.

Luckily, we have a Lotus dealership in Dubai that is probably going to import this ridiculous handling machine so we could enjoy some authentic British cars that look good, sound good and perform even better.

But what makes this model so special? The Lotus Exige Sport 350 is going to be the fastest ever production Exige to date with a 0-60mph of 3.7 seconds. Being that the Lotus Exige Sport 350 sheds over 112 pounds compared to the current Exige S dropping it down to a whopping 2,480 pounds using simple tricks that don’t affect the car’s comfort but rather rely on smarter packaging like; a lighter battery, a redesigned heater piping, a louvered engine cover, lightweight engine mounts, an exposed light shifter mechanism and new sound insulation.

The Lotus Exige Sport 350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that puts out 345 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque routed through the rear wheels. The Lotus Exige Sport 350 is very track capable but also fast, topping out at 170 mph and doing the deed in 3.7 seconds are achievements not to be sniffed at.

But was it all worth it? is the Lotus Exige Sport 350 faster that much faster than the Exige S? The new 350 laps the lotus test track 2.5 seconds quicker than the Exige S which is miles better if you ask me.
